CT College - Update
December 2nd, 2007
I had a letter back from the Computer Training College today.
Bad news.
Firstly, they went into administration on 26 September 2007. So if thats not a clue to NOT JOIN THEM, what is?
Secondly, they completely ignored my actual complaint and only addressed one issue of my original letter to them.
So what now? Now I’m going to reply to them with some strong words. These companies hope that they can fob you off first time and you’ll back down, so remember to be persistent. Continue to argue your point to them.
So lets give it another go.
Peace out
UPDATE: I’ve opened a Google Group to discuss things in more depth. Check out http://groups.google.com/group/ct-college-complaints

I have the same problem CTCOLLEGE. I would like to find someone with whom I could start to deal against them. I paid over £1000 and did not receive any support or help from them. I am very angry and I just want to get my money back and start my course with a proper company. I just hate when people lie like they do. Please contact me if you feel the same way and maybe we will be able to do something together . E-mail me at juratts@yahoo.co.uk

In the same boat as you. Been with them for about 16 months and have had a number of problems with them including - dated course material, ignoring emails, training day no shows etc
I am looking to take further action,

I’ve just got to the stage where I’ve been told by my tutor that I’m ready to take my first exam off the course, and they have turned around to me and said that I need to pay for the exams myself.
I’ve paid just under the £1200 so far but was told I needed to pay £3500.
I’ve now come across all these websites about CTCOLLEGE and needless to say I was shocked.
I’ve got to admit I didn’thave much trouble with talking to my tutor but when it come to booking my exams thats when I found the problems arise.
I’ve been on benefit for the past 7 years due to illness and want to get back into work, hense taking the course for a qualification to get back to work.
I haven’tgot this type off money to throw around, and I’m now signing up to a free course, which offer exactly the same thing and is goverment paid.
Thank you to every one who brought this matter up.

Cheers for the comments Paul. Just a shame that you’re this far into the course before the problem arose.
Do you have anything from them that says they will pay for the exams?
For me they just denied the phone call ever happened which is disgraceful.
